502 JUNK DEPT LLC respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website or hire our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. We don't sell your information to anyone, ever.
Information we collect
When you request a quote or hire us:
- Name, phone number, and email address
- Service address
- Photos or descriptions of items you want hauled
- Payment information (processed by our payment partner — we don't store full card numbers on our servers)
When you visit our website:
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamp) for security and performance
- Functional cookies necessary for the site to operate
- We do not currently use advertising tracking pixels or behavioral retargeting
How we use your information
- To respond to your quote request and schedule your service
- To complete the job we agreed to do
- To send job-related communications (quotes, confirmations, invoices, follow-ups)
- To improve our services and train our team
- To comply with our legal and tax obligations
Photos you send us
When you send photos through our quote form, those photos are received via email and reviewed by our team. We use them to provide an accurate quote and to plan the job. We may also use them for internal training and marketing as described in our Terms of Service. We do not share customer-submitted photos with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Third parties we work with
We use a small number of trusted services to run our business:
- Resend — email delivery for quote requests
- Vercel — website hosting
- Stripe / Square / Jobber — payment processing and scheduling
- Google Workspace — email and business communications
Each of these has its own privacy practices. We share with them only what's needed for the service they provide.
Text messages (SMS)
Texting our published phone number to request service or get a quote does not automatically enroll you in any marketing program. If we add SMS marketing in the future, it will be opt-in only and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out. We follow the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable state laws.
Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies necessary for the site to function. We don't currently use third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we'll update this policy and provide opt-out controls.
How long we keep your information
- Quote requests: retained for one year unless converted to a job
- Job records: retained for seven years for tax, insurance, and warranty purposes
- Marketing emails (if you opt in): retained until you unsubscribe
- Job photos: retained indefinitely unless you request deletion
Your rights
You can request that we:
- Show you what personal information we have about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements above)
- Opt out of marketing communications

Children
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date below reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated via the website or by email to active customers.
