Who we are
502 JUNK DEPT LLC is an Indiana limited liability company headquartered at 421 Mechanic St, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. We provide junk removal, property cleanout, and light demolition services throughout the Louisville, Kentucky metro area and Southern Indiana (Clark and Floyd counties), with extended service to surrounding Kentuckiana communities.
Services we provide
We haul away furniture, appliances, mattresses, electronics, construction debris, yard waste, and personal items. We perform light demolition including sheds, decks, fences, pole barns, hot tubs, and similar small structures. We do not perform: permitted demolition of habitable structures, licensed asbestos abatement, hazardous waste transport, septic or fuel tank removal, or work requiring an environmental remediation contractor.
Items we cannot haul
For safety, legal, and disposal reasons, we cannot accept: hazardous waste, paint solvents, motor oil, gasoline, propane tanks (full), asbestos-containing materials, lead paint debris, medical or biohazard waste, ammunition, fireworks, prescription medications, freon-containing appliances without prior arrangement, or any item that requires specialized hazardous-waste disposal. If you're unsure, send a photo before scheduling and we'll tell you yes or no.
Quotes
Quotes are issued in writing (text or email) based on photos and/or description of the items. Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue. Pricing is based on volume (the published trailer-fraction tiers) unless otherwise stated. The quoted price is the final price unless the actual load materially differs from what was represented — in which case we'll discuss the adjustment with you before continuing.
Payment
Payment is due upon completion of the job. We accept cash, check, credit card, Venmo, Zelle, and Stripe. For commercial accounts and larger jobs, alternate terms may be arranged in writing in advance.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancel or reschedule any time up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment at no charge. Cancellations inside 24 hours may be subject to a $50 trip fee at our discretion, particularly for same-day or weekend appointments where we've held the slot.
Damage and insurance
We carry general liability insurance. In the unlikely event we cause damage to your property during a job, contact us within 7 days by phone or email with photos and a description. We'll work with you in good faith to resolve the claim. Our total liability for any single job is limited to the value of services rendered.
Photos and marketing
We may photograph the items being hauled and the work in progress for the purposes of marketing, training, and dispute resolution. Faces and identifying details of customers or bystanders will not be published without permission. If you'd like to opt out of having job photos used in our marketing, tell us at the time of service and we'll respect that.
Disputes and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Disputes will first be addressed by good-faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved, disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Indiana.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date below reflects the most recent change. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
